This is a very nice idea I happened to stumble upon recently — cards from wood. While most of the times identity cards we receive from others are getting lost, torn, drawn in sink and many other disasters that can reach a simple mortal piece of paper, surely a card from wood will remain for much longer. Of course it’s more work and hassle, and you can’t easily carry 100 business cards in your pocket, but have to admit it’s very original!
First and most important when you come to buy on eBay is to see who you are planning to buy from. Check sellers feedback, if he has negative feedback, see WHY this negative feedback was left and how many bad points has he received. Also, what kind of feedback he left to others (I should think you can view this info even as being a non-registered member), because you will learn a lot about the person judging by the comments he left, how many bad reputation points he left to others? If he or she left negative reputations to a few buyers, you might want not to take the risk of getting a red point as well, if you have delays with payment or any other issues. 100% positive reputation is rare when one has over 10,000 clients, but still be at guard and double check who you are buying from, because most important — buying from new eBayers is dangerous!
- Bid early in the morning
Look for auctions finishing late at night or early in the morning (for USA time, since most buyers come from there) because then there are fewer people bidding then. - Use auction snipers
It’s a sneaky software that will save you having to stay up late. - Auctions with typos
They attract fewer bids because they can’t be easily found. But you knew that already. - Don’t get stung on postage
Some sellers charge extra on postage to make up their profits. Check before you bid and take it into account. For instance, buying 1$ panties that take 40$ to ship is unreal. - Bid odd numbers
Most people bid familar sounding numbers like 10, 50 or 100. To beat them, bid 10.03 or 26.01, assuming they went up to 25$. - Summer time bidding
There’s fewer people bidding. Or alternatively, look out for free listing days too – there’s more sellers - Too good to be true?
Most likely it is. Most auctions go fine – but don’t let wishful thinking get in the way of common sense. Some things in life simply cannot cost less than certain sum.
Some people said said it couldn’t be done, but here it is! Some smartass has perfected something that was already perfect. That brilliant invention called The Spork has now been bested with the new invention, the “super spork”. A common spork is an eating utensil with a spoon on one end and a fork on the other. But the SUPER Spork also has a knife built right in the edge of the fork. Yes, you need two like that if you want to eat properly, but if you are eating with a spork, you already don’t eat properly so who cares?
In other words, now you can eat with one hand — scooping with the spoon, stabbing with the fork, and cutting with the knife — while your other hand does whatever it damn well pleases.
The Super Spork was made in Sweden and comes in various colors (our choice). According to the package, it was designed by the renowned Scandinavian designer Joachin Nordwall. Costs only around 4-5 dollars so I should think it was made in China or somewhere in the far east, most definitely not in Sweden though.
As an entrepreneur, Ronn Jones claims that one of the most important business decisions is choosing the right logo design. Irrespective of the fact whether a logo is designed by some hired professionals or is an in-house development of the organization, certain crucial and important decisions has to be made. Whatever happens, an entrepreneur will always want his logo to work well for his company. And it is true that a logo can prove to be an important factor for the success of a business or organization.
However, many entrepreneurs make the mistake of choosing their logo on the basis of their personal preferences. But personal preferences should rather be left alone when deciding on the right logo design for a company.
While designing a logo certain factors should be kept in mind. And these factors become more important than personal preferences or likings. It would decide whether the logo would actually work well enough for the company and help spread its visual branding successfully and smoothly. read more »
Welcome to Lorelei Web Diary. It sounds like a welcome note from these silly MTV programs where stars are talking about their splendid daily schelude, but — it’s not. It’s a boring shopping diary, since I love eBay and love spending online (actually offline as well, I guess you guessed my gender!). This blog is going to be a little guide, a little diary, and a little rants report of what I come across, love, hate and purchase. Sounds intriguing? It should.
EDIT: Now it’s actually a slightly different blog. I decided to (finally) move the database, and it will be hosted together with loreleiweb.com as a sub-folder and not as a subdomain anymore. No much difference since the old site is now redirected over here and we are not going to lose any traffic, but for SEO purposes for the future it is much better and I am happy to finally have it behind me.
