eBay bidding tips
- Bid early in the morning
Look for auctions finishing late at night or early in the morning (for USA time, since most buyers come from there) because then there are fewer people bidding then. - Use auction snipers
It’s a sneaky software that will save you having to stay up late. - Auctions with typos
They attract fewer bids because they can’t be easily found. But you knew that already. - Don’t get stung on postage
Some sellers charge extra on postage to make up their profits. Check before you bid and take it into account. For instance, buying 1$ panties that take 40$ to ship is unreal. - Bid odd numbers
Most people bid familar sounding numbers like 10, 50 or 100. To beat them, bid 10.03 or 26.01, assuming they went up to 25$. - Summer time bidding
There’s fewer people bidding. Or alternatively, look out for free listing days too - there’s more sellers - Too good to be true?
Most likely it is. Most auctions go fine - but don’t let wishful thinking get in the way of common sense. Some things in life simply cannot cost less than certain sum.
