When shopping online turns out too expensive?
Normally I always advocate shopping online because of the significantly lower rates you can find in eShops. However, sometimes shipping (which is not always in seller’s power to reduce) ends up covering the costs and eventually even costs you more. For example there was this very nice woman’s sleepware I wanted to order on eBay. Normal price is 35$ (in the stores) and I found a place online where they sell it for “only” 15 UDS. Cheap, right? It is, but the shipping is additional 15$, that is without insurance and eventually the price comes down to 32$ and loads of hassle going to the post, proving you need not pay tax for it and then if it is ripped, torn or stained, you cannot even deliver it back. Sure you can, but postage fees are never refundable so you will pay 30$ more just to bring it back and forth to the seller?
Yes, shopping online has advantages, but not always. At least expensively shipped items from outlet shops could be risky.
